Dr. Shahid Nasir was born and raised in Gojra, Pakistan. Dr. Nasir holds a degree in veterinary medicine, as well as M.Sc. (Hons) Microbiology from College of Veterinary Medicine of Lahore, Pakistan. Dr. Nasir practiced for Seven years as a veterinarian in Pakistan. He migrated to Whitby, Canada in 2004.

Dr. Nasir did a Six month Veterinary Skills Training and Enhancement Program (VSTEP) from Ontario Veterinary College, University Of Guelph. Having completed his Training, he has been practicing as a Veterinarian at Pembroke Animal Hospital.

Prior to moving to the area with his wife Ailla, Dr. Nasir was living in Whitby while working toward his Ontario veterinary certification. Dr. Nasir says that the move to the Pembroke has been a big one for him and his family. "It was a big move towards Veterinary Career in Canada”. He says that the area is beautiful and that the people here were what drew him to the city of pembroke. "I like the people; I decided to come here rather than anywhere else." He adds that the lack of traffic problems is also nice.

He says that his hobbies include reading scientific and technical journals that relate to veterinary medicine, Watching sports on T.V and Playing Cricket.
