These classes introduce basic manners to the dog that is over the age of 4 months.

Using positive reinforcement and management techniques the handler will learn to teach his/her dog the signals and verbal cues for sit, down, stand, and watch. Name attention will be taught and this skill used to develop a more reliable recall. The skills needed for heeling are introduced. Manners in the home will be addressed with such skills as ‘settle down’ and ‘off’. .

Classes run for 6 weeks on Tuesday afternoon and Wednesday night at 6:30 to 7:30 and 7:45 to 8:45, with up to 6 dogs per class.

The Pembroke Animal Hospital requires all dogs have their vaccinations including Bordetella (Kennel Cough Vaccine) and proof  of vaccination must be provided to register.

The cost is $90. Checks and cash can be accepted in the training hall. Payment by Visa, Mastercard or Debit is available through the office during office hours.
